Changing the Game by Chetan Bhagat

FICCI Ladies Organization (FLO) had organised a talk show ‘Changing The Game’ with the popular author Mr. Chetan Bhagat. Mr.Bhagat, whose apart from being an author is also a script writer and columnist excelled as a speaker and he talked about the challenges, he took in life by chucking up a very lucrative job to become a full time writer thanks to this Punjabi author’s supportive Tamilian wife Anusha Suryanarayan. He profusely thanked his wife for all his success and for giving the family twin sons.

“You do not have a voice. You must know your rights. You must know what is tradition vs modern and you also must know what is women’s spirit. You are here to do your best and you must fight for the gender rights.” These encouraging words came from the popular author at the talk show. He talked about how he handled his family and home when his wife went to work. This was the time when he explored and innovated and then came the idea of : house and husband. He also talked about his own marriage which came as a cultural shock to both his and his wife’s family.

He also narrated his life his as a student and as an investment banker and what he aimed to achieve in his life. He categorically stated that he has no intention to join politics.

The talk show was moderated by FLO chairperson Apra Kuchhal.Apra Kucchal said Bhagat’s presence had inspired a whole lot of women entrepreneurs who had made a beeline to hear him. Bhagat brought with him immense knowledge and he imparted it to the members of the FICCI FLO family.
