WCD launch – Women Corporate DirectorDirector – The Complete Picture

FICCI FLO North East Chapter had an eclectic panel discussion on the hot topic of ” Women Corporate Director – The complete picture ” in the light of the legal mandate pursuant to the Companies Act, 2013 at the Lily hotel othe 25th July, 2015.

The panel consisted of an exciting mix of Speakers to cover all the aspects of the clauses in the Act, legal implications, changing dynamics at work place, how women on boards address this change etc. The Speakers were – Shantikam Hazarika, Founder Director of Assam Institute of Management, Alok Verma – Business head of Vodafone, Assam & North East, KaberiBhuyan – Chartered Accountant, Rajeev Agarwal – Director SM Group and CEO Bitchem Asphalt technologies, Joyshree Das Verma, Chairperson FLO North East Chapter and the discussion was moderated by Krishan Kant Aggarwal, GM of Vivanta by Taj.

Chairperson Flo North East, Joyshree Das Verma said that this was the first session to be held at Guwahati and it is part of FLO’s national project on Women Corporate Director ( WCD ) . The objective is to create awareness about WCD, train potential women on matters related to Board responsibilities, Do’s and Don’ts of a Director etc and also create a pool of WCDs.

The second session will be a workshop to train and create the ready talent pool for both FLO members as well as non members.
