FICCI FLO Kolkata had a ceremonial inauguration and adoption of ‘ARUNIMA HOSPICE’ -A home for the AIDS affected less privileged children on Wednesday June 10th 2015, at The Oberoi Grand.
Arunima Hospice provides care and support for HIV infected and affected women and children in West Bengal. Long term FLO has taken an approach to combat the spread of HIV/AIDS in Kolkata and in the wide state of West Bengal.
As individuals are treated through a holistic approach they are provided with skills and resources to develop themselves through education and training. FLO with ‘Arunima Hospice’ will also work directly with communities through awareness campaigns and work to highlight the issue of HIV/AIDS in communities, break stigmas and ultimately facilitate an environment in which the community is empowered to help those most suffering. We also had a musical presentation by ARUNIMA HOSPICE children spreading awareness.
