To remind women of how special they are, and help them lose their inhibitions and enhance their self belief, the Young FICCI Ladies Organization, Kolkata, organized a ‘Wow Woman!’ workshop on Saturday, 20th March 2010 at Conclave. The workshop was conducted by music and dance expert Ramanjit Kaur, and aimed to renew the spirit within, making women embrace their unique qualities and recognize their hidden talents and desires. Ramanjit graduated in Dance and Music and was a recipient of the Charles Wallace India Trust Award (UK). She has trained at the Central School of Speech and Drama, London Academy of Music and Dramatics and the Birmingham School of Speech and Drama. Ramanjit has also received numerous prestigious awards including the Sanskriti Award for Theatre (2006) and the Sangeet Natak Akademi Bismillah Khan Yuva Puraskar for Theatre (2006). After pursuing interests in Italy, she returned to the Motherland and is now Creative Director at her theatre company ‘The Creative Arts’ in Kolkata.
The full house of eager and enthusiastic participants was much appreciated by the vivacious, accomplished and engaging Ramanjit, and members savored every moment of the 2-hour long workshop. Especially enriching was the segment on discovering one-self. As hoped, an informative, lively and peaceful time was had by all.
