Under the leadership of Chairperson Ms. Nalini Sanwal, FLO Kanpur organized a “Digital Literacy Program”, under the National Initiative – Digital Literacy across Nagar Nigam schools in Kakadeo, Kidwai Nagar, Juhi, and Hiramanpurva to empower young students with essential digital skills. The initiative aimed to bridge the digital divide and equip children with the knowledge required to thrive in an increasingly digital world. A total of 240 students across the four schools participated in the program.
The training session was held 5 days a week and conducted in batches of 2 per school, with 30 students in each batch. The training session covered basic computer operations, internet usage, coding basics, and digital safety. NimbleQ was the knowledge partner in this initiative, and E&ICT Academy, IIT Kanpur was the certification partner, with additional certification opportunities planned for February 2025.
The participants gained proficiency in fundamental digital skills and computer usage, exposure to coding concepts and safe online practices, and increased confidence in leveraging technology for educational and creative purposes.
FLO Kanpur appreciates Dr. Anuradha Varshney for her guidance and dedication in ensuring the program’s success.
