Saree Soirée

FLO Kolkata under the National Fashion Initiative, participated in this vibrant initiative, with “Kolkata Kettle”, which brought together thought leaders, creative minds, and cultural enthusiasts.

The event featured a session titled “Lapataa Sarees: Modern Sarees – An Identity Crisis or a Phoenix Rising?”. It explored the evolution of the saree, with panelists Dolly Jain, and Dr. Rupali Basu and moderated by Rashmi Chowdhary, sharing their thoughts on preserving tradition while embracing contemporary interpretations.

Renowned model and stylist Ms. Nayanika Chatterjee hosed the “Checkered Saree Diva Walk”. Members showcased their creativity and style, competing for prizes. The chapter celebrated heritage, fashion, and meaningful conversations, making it a memorable experience for all participants.
