The evening at Rajputana Sheritan on 6 May 2010 outnumbered the stars in the sky.
‘CAN WOMEN HANDLE LEADERSHIP’ by Shobhaa De ,
an eminent author and columnist was truly an event to behold. The Guest of Honour for the evening was Ms Vijaylaxmi Bishnoi , President –Raj. Pradesh Mahila Congress.
The evening glittered with the attendance of not only the members, but also with the presence of Doctors, Principals of Institutions,IPS Officers’s wives ,JDA Secretary and eminent personalities from all walks of life, making it an affair to remember. Rani Vidya Devi ji was present to grace the occasion. It was well attended by more than 350 people. The breathtaking event, combined with august audience and scintillating media only added glam factor to the evening. It was covered by more than 11 newspapers of the city.
Ms Shefila Chordia, addressed the Speaker, guest of honour and other distinguished guests. She stated how women play all roles so efficiently.
The Executive accredit was also conscripted in the same function. With assemblage pouring in droves to just listen to the speaker,Ms Shobhaa de wasting no time turned the topic on its head and questioned; can leadership handle women? She further said challenging the perception that leadership demands one to be arrogant, possess killer instinct, and be ruthless to be on top. She exhorted the audience to have belief in themselves. She said we often use this word ‘sacrifice’, just think ten times before using it
Her talk was followed by the Zero Hour in which ladies and men both parked their querries.
