City of Joy Retreat 2024-2025

FLO Chennai, under the leadership of Chairperson Dr. Divya Abhishek, organized the City of Joy retreat from November 14 to 16, 2024 at Kolkata. The retreat was a perfect blend of culture, and celebration, and was made possible through the dedicated efforts of the Retreat Committee—Secretary Ms. Radhika Agarwal, Joint Secretary Ms. Amulya Rao, and Trade and Delegation Vertical Heads Ms. Anuradha Jhaver and Ms. Geetha Muthuswamy.

The retreat started with the group traveling from Chennai to Kolkata. At the RCTC Derby, the participants enjoyed an afternoon of excitement and warm hospitality. They checked into the luxurious Taj Hotel to relax before the evening’s festivities. The day concluded with a vibrant barge party hosted by FLO Kolkata.

The second day began with optional spiritual and cultural experiences, including a visit to Kali Ghat for a special pooja and darshan. The group attended a curated textile event hosted by Mallika, showcasing exceptional craftsmanship and artistry. The evening festivities at Daga Nikunj included the traditional Sindoor Khela ceremony, lively karaoke sessions, and a delicious dinner, creating an atmosphere of joy and celebration.

The final day began with an optional visit to the serene Victoria Memorial Gardens. Participants then returned to the Taj for breakfast and checkout before visiting Raj Bari, a magnificent cultural landmark, which concluded the retreat on a high note.
