3rd Annual Event: Honouring Women Achievers of North East, Guwahati

Mr. Naba Kr Das, Chief Secretary, Assam was the Chief Guest and Kumar Sanjay Krishna, Principal Secretary, Planning & Development, the Guest of Honor. The Event began with a graceful Odissi Dance. In keeping with its tradition, FLO NE honoured 5 women achievers of NE India who have done outstanding work in their chosen fields, viz. Padmashree Hema Bharali for Social Work, Padmashree Mamang Dai for Literature,Srimati Garima Hazarika for Culture (Classical Dance),Srimati Hasina Kharbih for works in Child & Women Trafficking and Srimati Rangila Medhi as Neo Literate.

All the achievers were presented with a plaque and a muga silk stole. The evening ended with high tea. The event was well covered by the media
