Campus to Corporate Training – Sri Venkateswara College of Technology (SVCT)

The Campus to Corporate (C2C) Training Program was held at Sri Venkateswara College of Technology (SVCT), on October 18th, 2024. The event aimed at preparing students for the professional world. Under the guidance of Chairperson Dr. Divya Abhishek and Ms. Vanitha Venugopal, Head of the Skilling Vertical, the session received outstanding feedback from the participants.

The program was attended by 245 students and lasted for 6 hours, mostly from the final-year cohort. It covered essential topics such as Critical & Creative Thinking, Communication, Time Management, Problem Management, Stress Management, Teaming up, Leadership, Self-Motivation, and Campus to Corporate Transition. The sessions also included practical components like Mock Interviews (20 conducted) and Group Discussions (10 conducted), alongside Resume Preparation for 230 students.

The students appreciated the interactive format of the course, which helped make the learning process enjoyable and relatable to their daily lives. This helped the students gain a thorough understanding of the topics. Many students highlighted the hands-on exercises and interactive activities as key factors that simplified complex concepts.

A key highlight of the training was the emphasis on CV preparation and interview strategies. The course was particularly beneficial for final-year students, who appreciated the communication strategies and confidence-building advice they gained. The course was highly praised for providing practical guidance and valuable insights, helping students identify areas for self-improvement.

The following recommendations were made for the future training sessions:

1. Follow-up on CVs after the training program to ensure that students apply what they’ve learned.
2. Conduct the training for final-semester students before campus recruitment to maximize the benefits of the program.
3. Encourage all students to provide feedback for continuous program improvement.

This successful event, coordinated by InGage Technologies Pvt. Ltd., was valuable in helping students bridge the gap between academia and the corporate environment, equipping them for the professional world.
