5 Day Online Workshop on ‘Canva’ Under Digital Literacy Vertical

Under its Digital Literacy vertical, FLO JKL, in collaboration with The Virtual Storyteller.VA, organised a 5-day online workshop on Canva for FLO members pan India. The event aimed at empowering participants with essential design skills. The workshop, held from September 23rd to 27th, 2024, focused on the basics of Canva, a platform known for enabling users to create visually appealing designs with ease.

The workshop’s structured curriculum was designed to enhance creativity and design capabilities among participants, providing step-by-step guidance through various aspects of Canva:

• Day 1: Getting Started with Canva – An introduction to navigating Canva’s interface and essential tools.
• Day 2: Template Mastery – Selecting and customising templates to align with personal or brand requirements.
• Day 3: Design Elements – Incorporating and editing photos, graphics, and icons to create visually compelling designs.
• Day 4: Text and Typography – Learning the nuances of text styling, font selection, and applying various text effects.
• Day 5: Final Touches – Ensuring design cohesiveness and exporting work in different formats for use across platforms.

The workshop was well received by all, who appreciated the practical insights and hands-on approach. The resource person, Shalini Baisiwala, a FLO JKL member, guided participants with patience and expertise, addressing all queries and ensuring everyone could follow along effectively. This workshop catered to both beginners and those looking to refine their design skills, offering participants a chance to unlock their creative potential and start designing like professionals.
