Empowering Women and Youth through Digital Literacy in Mudi Village

FICCI FLO Ahmedabad held an inspiring event aimed at enhancing digital literacy among women and youth in Mudi village, on October 21st, 2024. The event focused on fostering financial and social independence. The initiative was organised by Bijal Shah, head of the FLO Ahmedabad Textile Initiative, and took place at the picturesque Ambika Niwas Palace.

The event brought together 60 enthusiastic participants, primarily from labourer families, who were eager to learn new skills that could transform their lives. Under the guidance of Mr. Parav Shah, attendees participated in a comprehensive training program covering essential aspects of digital literacy.

The workshop included sessions on social media usage, enabling participants to harness these platforms for personal and professional growth. Participants also enjoyed a hands-on smartphone photography workshop, where they learned how to capture and share their stories visually, enhancing their ability to market their skills and products online.

By empowering women and youth through digital education, FLO plays a crucial role in promoting financial independence and social empowerment in Mudi village. This event marks a significant step towards creating a more inclusive and equitable society.
