BOOKs, MUSIC and Winter Sunshine

Ficci Ladies Organisation , Northeast Chapter hosted an event in which famous Sufi Singer Kavita Seth ,upcoming author Janice Pariat and 5 times Winter Olympian, Shiva Keshavan were the Chief Guests on the 29th December at Smita’s residence..

Ms Kavita Seth of “o re manwa tu to bawra hein..” fame, enthralled the large gathering of FLO members and invitees , with her beautiful rendition of her award winning songs from Wake up Sid, Rajniti,Cocktail and her own compositions.

Janice Pariat, author of ” Boats on Land “, spoke about the launch of her second book “Seahorse”, based on an obscure myth of Poseidon, the Greek God of the sea. She was accompanied by her husband Luigi Russi, also a writer of Academic books.

Shiva Keshavan, , Luge Pilot, who had won the Silver medal in the Asia Cup held in Nagano, on the 19th Dec 2014, after 2 golds and 2 silvers also graced the occasion and spoke on his close ties to the Northeast.
