Interaction with Chandrima Roy, from the Ministry of Education, Singapore

FLO North East had a very successful educational event on 7th June 2016, with Chandrima Roy, from the Ministry of Education, Singapore, at Royal Global School, Guwahati. She gave us a powerpoint programme along with a lecture on “Teaching and learning of 21st century competencies”.

She spoke why Singapore is one of the very sought after destination for education today. It is the home of the” world’s best education system” according to an OECD ( organisation for economic co-operation and development) led study from May 2015. What do Singaporean teacher’s do in classrooms that is so special then others.

We also felicitated and honoured Sharfaraz Hussain , who secured the first rank in High School Leaving Certificate, scoring 590/600, with a momento.

Padmashree and Padma Bhushan, Dr. Shyama Chona was our guest of the evening along with the participating schools and teachers of the state of Assam.
