The “Innovate to Elevate” residential program, organized by YFLO Hyderabad under the leadership of Chairperson Ridhi Jain, provided a remarkable learning experience for 29 women participants from YFLO Ahmedabad and YFLO Hyderabad. Held from September 29th to October 2nd at IIM Ahmedabad, the four-day program explored key aspects of innovation, leadership, and design thinking, blending academic insights with practical applications.

The program commenced with an inspiring industrial tour of Amul, India’s iconic dairy cooperative, where participants gained valuable insights into the brand’s operational strategies and employee-centric approach. Mr. Mahesh Bhai shared the deep emotional connection consumers have with Amul, while Mr. Saurabh Rajput emphasized the brand’s commitment to supporting its workforce, reinforcing its reputation as a people-first company.

Day two focused on digital strategy, led by Professor Chitra Singla, who explored the importance of addressing mindset challenges and moving beyond traditional business approaches to navigate disruption. This was followed by Ms. Adrija Majumdar’s session on AI and its role in enhancing customer experience and operational efficiency. Afterward, participants enjoyed a campus tour of IIM Ahmedabad, concluding with a welcome dinner at the Hyatt Regency, featuring a 9-course Gujarati meal.

The third day centered around design thinking, with Professor Mukesh Sud leading a session on human-centered design and the importance of fostering a growth mindset. Next, Professor Sourav Borah discussed innovative marketing strategies and the evolving nature of entrepreneurship, emphasizing the need for adaptive, multi-stage business strategies for long-term success. The day ended with a lively Garba night, allowing participants to enjoy Gujarat’s traditional dance and cultural celebration.

On the final day, Professor Chitra Singla guided participants through discussions on service quality and managing innovations through partnerships. Professor Neharika Vohra concluded the program with a session on leading innovatively, stressing that effective leadership is demonstrated through action rather than words.

Throughout the program, participants engaged with 12 in-depth case studies, gaining practical insights into real-world challenges and innovative solutions. The program concluded with a valediction ceremony, followed by a farewell dinner at The House of MG, where participants were treated to a delightful spread of traditional Gujarati cuisine.
