Financial Literacy Program at MGR Janaki College

FLO Chennai conducted a highly successful financial literacy session at MGR Janaki College on September 11th, 2024, targeting B.Com. Bank Management
undergraduates in their 2nd and 3rd years. The program focused on real-time scenarios, case studies, and practical life situations to underscore the importance of financial literacy and upskilling for income generation.

The session featured four key speakers: Ms. Ann Anra, founder of 360 Deg Wasted; Ms. Jyothi Thomas from FLO; Mr. Mani from Samskriya; and Ms. Jailakshmi from LIC. Additionally, Ms. Kasthuri from Arpanam highlighted various government schemes available. The practical approach of the session resonated deeply with the = audience, leading to high engagement and requests for similar programs in the future. Special thanks were extended to Ms. Sri Lakshmi, Senior FLO Member; Dr. Shanthi, HOD; and Dr. Koteeswari, Professor, for their support.

The Rural Livelihood Initiative Team, including Ms. Jyothi Thomas, Ms. Sandhya Jaichandren from Samskriya, and Ms. Jayadevi Cholayil, played a significant role in organising the event. The session received excellent feedback, with both students and faculty appreciating the practical relevance of the topics discussed.
