The 2nd edition of Anshukam – The FLO Textile and Handloom Festival was held on September 12th, 2024, at The Ashok, New Delhi, celebrating the vibrant heritage of Indian textiles. Under the FLO National Initiative for Handloom, Textiles & Handicrafts, led by Governing Body Members Roopa Patel and Swati Verma, the event aimed to empower and support artisanal craftsmanship, providing an ecosystem that showcases their talent and facilitates access to international markets.
The festival featured over 90 stalls, including 35 weavers and artisans, highlighting the remarkable skills and dedication of those involved in Indian craftsmanship. Joyshree Das Verma, President of FLO, addressed the attendees, emphasizing the event’s objective to promote authentic handlooms and handcrafted garments.
FICCI FLO Governing Body Member Ritu Prakash Chhabria from Finolex Pipes and Fittings, along with Mukul Madhav Foundation generously sponsored participation of 35 weavers and greatly contributed to the success of the event, enabling the showcase of extraordinary craftsmanship.
Madhuri Halwasiya served as the Day Chair for the festival, while Aarti Mittal organized the event on behalf of FICCI FLO. Additionally, a delegation from PhilAWEN, Philippines, attended, underscoring the international interest in Indian textiles. The event was inaugurated by Neelam Pratap Rudy, marking a significant milestone in FLO’s commitment to promoting Indian artisans.
