The auspicious occasion of Janmashtami was celebrated with great fervor and devotion at the President’s home, hosting the Janmashtami Fellowship, on August 22, 2024.
The celebration marked a beautiful confluence of tradition and community, where devotion to Lord Krishna was expressed through live bhajans, prayers, and cultural performances.
The program commenced with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp, signifying the triumph of light over darkness and good over evil. Renowned local musicians and vocalists performed soulful bhajans, such as “Govind Bolo Hari Gopal Bolo” and “Radhe Radhe Govinda,” which filled the air with devotion and positivity at the President’s house.
The members dressed in traditional attire, and the guests participated in the festivities, offering prayers and partaking in the symbolic rituals.
Niharika, in her address, emphasized the importance of Janmashtami in instilling values such as righteousness, compassion, and devotion. She spoke of how Lord Krishna’s teachings in the Bhagavad Gita remain relevant today, encouraging ethical living and leadership in personal and professional life.
