Chennai, 22nd August at Annai Veilankanni’s College for Women
The session on Angel Investing, was conducted by Flo Chennai member, Ms Goda Raghavan, This session was attended by around 100 women, predominantly undergraduate students from the B.Com department of accounts and finance.
Ms Goda provided the students with a comprehensive overview of angel investment, discussing its significance, the unique role of angel investors, and how they differ from traditional banks. She also spoke about various career options such as CS, LLB, CA, and MBA, emphasizing how these additional qualifications could provide a competitive edge over other B.Com graduates in the job market.
The discussion also covered the different angel networks available in Chennai, offering students insights into how they can access these networks to support future entrepreneurial endeavours. Ms. Goda highlighted the importance of understanding finance from a business perspective, stressing that financial literacy is crucial for anyone looking to enter the business world. She also shared practical advice on how students can leverage angel investors to bring their business ideas to life.
The session was highly interactive, and Ms. Goda’s insights were met with enthusiasm. The students, inspired by the discussion, expressed a keen interest in having workshops conducted for their entrepreneurship cell, recognizing the value such sessions could add to their academic and professional growth.
