On 25th of July, the FICCI FLO Jaipur Chapter, under the leadership of Chairperson Ms. Raghushree Poddar, organized a heartfelt initiative titled Daan Vahan – Vastra Daan. This noble initiative was dedicated to distributing essential clothing to those in need. The aim was to extend a helping hand to families struggling to meet basic needs, ensuring that the underprivileged could face the challenging weather and life circumstances with dignity.
The initiative was held at Hari Marg Raigar Basti and at Ram Kutir area, Malviya Nagar. This area was carefully chosen for the initiative due to the high concentration of families facing economic difficulties. The location provided a warm and welcoming environment where the FLO community gathered for the clothing distribution.
The initiative was led by Ms. Raghushree Poddar, Chairperson of FICCI FLO Jaipur Chapter (2024-25). 50 families in need were the beneficiaries of the clothing distribution.
Special efforts by Neha Maheshwary (One of our sponsors and executive committee member) and Suruchi Dhoot (Executive committee member) played key roles in the collection and donation of clothes to the appropriate areas. They ensured that a wide variety of clothing, ranging from everyday wear to weather-appropriate garments, for women, men & kids were collected for the families in need. These contributions provided essential support for the beneficiaries, many of whom face challenges in accessing basic necessities.
The donation was generously done by Ms. Raghushree Poddar, Executive committee members and FICCI FLO Members.
The initiative saw remarkable engagement from both the Executive committee and FLO members. The smiles on the faces of the recipients were a true testament to the impact of this initiative.
50 families from the Raigar Basti & Ram Kutir Area were the direct beneficiaries of the initiative. Each family received clothing suitable for the season and as per their daily needs, helping them better cope with the challenging weather conditions and ensuring they had sufficient clothing to maintain their dignity.
The Daan Vahan – Vastra Daan initiative successfully brought together the FLO community to make a tangible difference in the lives of 50 underprivileged families. Through the generous donations of clothing, these families were provided with essential garments, ensuring that they are better equipped to face the hardships of daily life. The initiative was not only about providing material support but also about uplifting spirits and fostering a sense of community.
The initiative was a purely community-driven effort, highlighting the power of collective goodwill and philanthropy.
The Daan Vahan – Vastra Daan initiative exemplified the spirit of giving and the impact of a united community. Led by Ms. Raghushree Poddar and supported by dedicated Committee members and FLO members, this initiative served as a reminder of the importance of caring for those who are less fortunate. The smiles and gratitude of the 50 beneficiary families was the true reward for this selfless endeavour. FLO Jaipur Chapter will continue its mission to bring positive change and extend support to those in need, keeping the flame of kindness alive.
