FLO Hyderabad, chaired by Priya Gazdar, recently hosted an inspiring session with Captain Yashika Tyagi on August 2, 2024. The session, themed “Courage Under Fire,” featured captivating stories from the war front, which Captain Tyagi skilfully linked to leadership principles and the importance of financial independence for women. The enthusiasm in the audience was palpable, as participants were eager to hear more.
Captain Tyagi shared that “Women are the Force behind the Force,” emphasizing that the challenges faced by women are universally similar and that inner strength is more crucial than physical attributes. She highlighted that while only a small group genuinely supports women, many are more comfortable with their setbacks. She also stressed that one’s work should reflect their personality and not be seen as a forced obligation, urging women to surround themselves with the right people who uplift and inspire them.
Using Indra Nooyi as a prime example, Captain Tyagi encouraged women to move past the “zero error syndrome” by embracing their worth and recognizing their inherent value. She underscored the importance of self-belief and the need for women to confidently claim their worth with the mindset of “I am worth something.”
These insights serve as a powerful reminder of the importance of resilience, self-confidence, and the right support network in achieving personal and professional success.
Over 80 FLO members attended the session.
