YFLO Kolkata’s The Philanthropy Club hosted a transformative event, the Financial Literacy Workshop with Dhanvesttor, at Belgharia Jatindas Vidyamandir. This workshop aimed to empower 100 girls from the Belgharia Jatindas Vidyamandir Government School with essential financial skills. With Financial Literacy being one of the National Initiatives and being close to chairperson Varsha Wadhwa Chirimar’s heart, this workshop was a resounding success as it overall impacts the lives of over 400 people.
Led by Anooshka Soham Bathwal and her team from Dhanvesttor, the workshop was not just an educational session but an inspiring journey into financial independence. Anooshka’s philosophy resonated throughout the workshop—Dhanvesttor is more than a venture; it’s a purpose, dedicated to empowering women to take charge of their financial futures.
The workshop demystified complex accounting jargon and introduced fundamental financial concepts in a simple and engaging manner. The students, eager and enthusiastic, absorbed the knowledge with a sense of empowerment, realising the potential and possibilities ahead with their newfound financial literacy.
In addition to the enriching sessions, the students were pleasantly surprised with tuck boxes filled with snacks, generously provided by YFLO member Prium Kanoria’s Kurry Patta, adding a delightful touch to the day’s activities.
Overall, the Financial Literacy Workshop with Dhanvesttor was extremely gratifying, leaving a lasting impact on the participants by equipping them with practical skills and inspiring them to envision a future where they are in control of their financial destinies.
