Certificate and Award Ceremony – General Duty Assistant Course ( Nursing Assistant )

Objective and Impact : 30 girl students were trained at the Wockhardt Medical Centre at Thane for the General Duty Assistant Course ( Nursing Assistant ) and have secured full time employment as nurse assistants in hospitals .

FICCI FLO Mumbai, in collaboration with Wockhardt Foundation and Intercont +, is proud to announce the successful completion of a 3-month skilling program for 30 girls in Mira Road, Thane.

The program, which ran from April 10th to June 30th, 2024, trained the participants in the General Duty Assistant course.
All 30 students have excelled in the program, scoring above 80% and successfully completing their internships at reputed hospitals in the Mira Road and Bhayandar areas, including Om Hospital, Dhanvantri Hospital, Radha Hospital, Wellcare Multispecialty Hospital, Jain Hospital, and Hatkesh Multispecialty Hospital.

The students have been offered positions at these hospitals, with starting salaries ranging from ₹8,500 to ₹12,000 per month. After their probation period of 3 months, their salaries will increase to ₹18,000 to ₹22,000 per month.

This initiative by the Wockhardt Foundation, with the support of FICCI FLO Mumbai and Intercont + as the CSR partner, is in line with their motto of “Life Wins.”

The training was conducted by the National Skill Development Corporation and included a pre-training phase, the training phase, and a post-training phase focused on interviews and placements.

The program’s success was celebrated yesterday, with a felicitation ceremony where the students were given certificates and awards for their merit by CSR heads of Intercont + , Wockhardt Foundation.

The students expressed gratitude for the program, noting that it has instilled in them a sense of respect, confidence, knowledge, and courage. Some of them have even expressed an interest in pursuing a B.Sc. in Nursing.

This initiative is a testament to the power to empower, power of collaborative efforts in empowering young women and providing them with the skills and opportunities to build a brighter future.
