Project Purkul

FLO Uttarakhand, in collaboration with Project Purkul, organized a transformative workshop under the Handloom and Textile Initiative. This initiative aims to empower village women by teaching them intricate arts such as hand embroidery and patchwork, which require concentration and skill. Led by Ms. Amrit Burrett, Project Purkul focuses on upcycling fabrics, transforming discarded materials into beautiful and useful creations. The project has registered around 30 women who will receive training and fair compensation for their work. FLO Uttarakhand is proud to support the empowerment of rural women artisans, fostering their creativity and enhancing their livelihoods.
