On the 9th of July 2024, at 3 PM, a significant event was organized by FICCI FLO Kanpur at Village Barhat, Sanch- Bithoor. This event was part of a collaboration with Ekal – Arogya Menstrual Hygiene Drive. The FLO Kanpur Chapter is organizing these camps in villages in and around the Kanpur area. The event saw participation from various members and key figures, including Sanch Pramukh and Arogya Sanjogika, Pratiksha, and Kalpana. Arogya Sevika and Ekal Acharya, Pramila Shukla, also played pivotal roles. FLO member Smita Kanodia, Ekal member Savita Chawla, three other Ekal persons, and two Arogya persons were in attendance.
The event benefited 28 individuals, with each receiving one packet of pads, amounting to 28 packets distributed in total. The speakers for the event included Anuradha Varshney, Smita Kanodia, and Savita, who shared valuable insights and information with the attendees.
The purpose of this project is to create awareness about menstrual hygiene and motivate women in rural areas to use sanitary napkins and menstrual cups. We are also providing them with cups and napkins at subsidized rates.
