On the occasion of World Menstrual Hygiene Day, the Kanpur chapter of FLO (FICCI Ladies Organisation) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Ekal Kanpur Chapter. This agreement marks a significant step forward in promoting menstrual hygiene and health education for women and girls in rural areas.
The primary goal of this collaboration is to conduct menstruation hygiene workshops across 480 villages in Kanpur. These workshops aim to improve the understanding and practices of menstrual hygiene among village girls and women, ensuring their overall health and well-being.
Both FLO Kanpur and Ekal Kanpur Chapter have expressed a strong commitment to this initiative, highlighting the importance of collaborative efforts in addressing menstrual health challenges in rural communities. This partnership is expected to leverage the strengths of both organizations to create sustainable and impactful health education programs.
The signing of this MOU represents a significant milestone in the journey towards ensuring menstrual hygiene and health for women and girls in rural Kanpur. Chairperson, Nalini Sanwal and Anuradha Varshney, were representative of Flo Kanpur Chapter and Ekal Mahila Samiti respectively.
Members Sarita Prahladkar, Ritu Lohia, Sandhya Gupta, Kriti Bhushan, Savita Chawla were present for the signing with Anuradha ji president of Ekal Mahila Samiti.
