Gender Equality

Shakti Public Charitable Trust and A.M Jain College partnered to present a seminar on Gender Equality, under the Leadership of Ms Ramya ,Dean of the college. Sowmitra Srinivasan and Jayadevi Cholayil are members of FLO Chennai who believe in empowering women. They spoke to the audience about the importance of gender equality , and how relevant it is in todays context.

Sowmithra Srinivasan ,operating Trustee of Shakthi Public Charitable Trust and Jayadevi Cholayil ,owner Cholayil, Founder Sadhev &Julahaa spoke to the students championed by the Department of Psychology and Department of Public Administration.

The Trust provides targeted counselling and legal redressal to the educated working woman undergoing Domestic Violence.
The trust aims to create awareness on Domestic violence and empower the working woman on financial literacy, cyber security, legal education through interactive sessions.

Number of people impacted: Out of 120 participants, 80 were women
