FLO Chennai’s first Aari inauguration happened on 20th June and the basic embroidery training commenced on Monday, 24th June 2024. This project aims to empower rural populations, particularly women, by equipping them with a skillset combining traditional hand embroidery-aligned skills along with digital, financial literacy, wellness awareness and communication tools.
Due to popular demand, 30 enthusiastic ladies have enrolled and started their embroidery sessions.
The training is being conducted by two experienced teachers, supported by two dedicated interns. The tentative end date for this training program is 10th August 2024.
These women are from thousand lights, Teynampet, Triplicane, Royapettah, Ashok nagar, and are economical very back ward and no other livelihood support. This opportunity will create sustainable living with skills and hope, confidence in life.
