“Lead Her Ship Colloquium,” an event dedicated to women in leadership roles, was held on 1st June 2024 at ICICI Bank Towers, BKC, Mumbai. The event aimed to empower women and foster excellence in leadership.
This event was conducted under the ambit of The FLO Collaborations, Partnerships & Associations vertical, led by Archana Khosla Barman and supported by the National team comprising Rashmi Sarita, Priyanka Gulati, Ami Sampat, Sheetal Desai, Priya Goutham and Ruchita Taneja Aggarwal.
These vertical plays a crucial role in connecting FICCI FLO with like-minded organizations and individuals who share the vision of empowering women across various sectors. The Lead Her Ship Colloquium was a significant step forward in demonstrating the impact that can be achieved through strategic alliances and shared goals.
Dr. Kiran Bedi, Former Lieutenant Governor of Puducherry Governor of Puducherry was the keynote speaker. In her address, she shared insights on women empowerment and leadership. This was followed by a Fireside Chat with Mr. R Gopalakrishnan, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Castrol India, and Ms. Sutapa Banerjee, Independent Director at several boards, moderated by Mr. Hitesh Sachdev, Head-Start-up, ICICI Bank. The chat delved deeper into the challenges and triumphs faced by women in boardrooms and women in corporates.
A Roundtable discussion was also organised as apart of the Colloquium, with CXOs from leading organizations such as Thomas Cook, Crompton, Essar Capital, JSW, Mondelez, Mahindra, PDS, Heidelberg Cement, First Global, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, L&T, MFG, PDF, Cornerstone, and more. This discussion provided valuable insights into the evolving landscape of leadership and the role of women in shaping the future of corporate India.
