Orientation with Seva Bharti under Rural livelihood Initiative

The FLO Indore team, including Senior Vice Chair Shweta Agarwal, Junior Vice Chair Vandana Gujarati, and Committee Members Varsha Dagra and Gunjan Garg, visited the Niranjanpur Basti stitching centre of Seva Bharti on May 14th, 2024. This visit was part of the Rural Livelihood initiative aimed at empowering women in rural areas by imparting valuable skills and creating sustainable livelihood opportunities.
The orientation session was attended by 25 women leaders who head various Swayam Sevi Sansthans (self-help organizations) around the city. The main focus of the meeting was to discuss and finalize a project that imparts stitching skills to women and ensures the marketing of their handcrafted articles, thereby supporting their economic empowerment.
The orientation was highly impactful, with active participation and engagement from the attendees. The project aims to provide a sustainable livelihood to women by enhancing their skills and helping them market their products effectively.
A major highlight of the meeting was the finalization of a livelihood project that includes both skill development and product marketing for the participating women. This project is set to commence in the first week of June.
The orientation and subsequent project are in collaboration with Seva Bharti Indore, an organization dedicated to social service and community development.
The meeting was very fruitful, setting the stage for a project that promises to significantly improve the livelihoods of women in the community. The collaboration with Seva Bharti Indore and the proactive participation of the FLO Indore team are expected to drive the success of this initiative.
