Skill Develpment forAshayen Educators- Block Printing and Sustainable Crafts

On May 7, 2024, the FICCI Ladies Organization (FLO) Kanpur Chapter, in collaboration with NIFD Global, successfully launched a Comprehensive Teachers Training Program at the Ashayen Spastic Center. This initiative, led by Event Chair Ritu Lohia and guided by mentors Dr. Anuradha Varshney and Archana Khaitan, aimed to upskill educators in block printing and sustainable product creation.

NIFD Global Director Neetika, along with trainer Alka and four students, provided expert training, while Ashayen Center Director Meera Noronhaji facilitated the program. The initiative saw enthusiastic participation from 21 FLO members, including Namrata Garg, Niti Tandon, Gauri Agarwal, Mani Agarwal, and others, with special thanks to FLO member and Ashayen Executive Member Bharti Garg for her instrumental role.

The program is set to run twice a week for two months, enhancing teaching capabilities and potentially creating livelihood opportunities for students. The impact of this initiative includes upskilling Ashayen educators, fostering innovation in teaching, and benefiting 80 children at the center. This collaboration with NIFD Global has empowered educators with valuable skills, promoting sustainable practices and supporting socio-economic development within the community.
