On May 8th, 2024, the FLO Kanpur Chapter expanded its Digital Literacy Program by launching classes in two additional Nagar Nigam schools, Tilak Nagar and Chunniganj. This initiative aims to equip girls with essential computer coding skills, empowering them for future opportunities.
With the support of Premanjali Foundation, 10 laptops were provided to ensure all participating schools have access to necessary equipment for the coding curriculum. This expansion adds an additional 60 girls to the program, bringing the total number of beneficiaries to 120 across four schools.
The launch was met with enthusiasm, with students eagerly engaging in hands-on experiences with the laptops. This initiative, led by Dr. Anuradha Varshney as Mentor and Event Chairs Meenu Jhunjhunwala and Cheistha Katyal, demonstrates FLO’s commitment to empowering young girls through digital literacy.
