WHealth – Women’s Health & Welfare

FLO Hyderabad’s WHealth initiative addresses the health needs of rural and urban poor women through interventions in physical, mental and emotional health, preventative health, hygiene, nutrition, and preventive vaccinations. It partners with pharmaceutical companies and local PHCs for free vaccines, organises community education sessions, health checks and trains women in health technology and telemedicine for informed decision-making.

FLO Hyderabad has planned a series of talks on Holistic personality development, Image management and confidence-building at various venues such as Govt. schools, Hospitals and orphanages. The first talk of the series by FLO member Sharmili Chaddha focused on ‘Stress management and Work-life balance’ for trainee nurses at Southern Gem Hospital, Basheerbagh, Hyderabad.

Ms. Chadha’s engaging and insightful talk provided the nurses with practical strategies to manage their mental and emotional well-being effectively. The session emphasised the importance of handling stress and maintaining equilibrium in their professional and personal lives. The trainees left the session feeling inspired, motivated, and better equipped to navigate the challenges of their demanding careers while maintaining personal and professional harmony. This event was a significant success, contributing to the resilience and health of the nursing community.
