Crafting Your Personal Brand through Visual Expression

The Young FICCI Ladies Organization (YFLO), under the Chairperson Ridhi Jain, recently hosted a captivating workshop titled “Crafting Your Personal Brand through Visual Expression” at Meeschool, T-Hub, on May 9th and 10th. The event, led by Ms. Pratibhaa Pulijalaa, founder of Meeschool, attracted a diverse group of young professionals eager to refine their personal branding strategies.

The workshop commenced with dynamic introductions, setting a collaborative tone among attendees. Participants then immersed themselves in the essence of personal branding, grasping its importance and impact on professional trajectories. Social media profiles and personality traits were explored as well, encouraging participants to self-reflect and fostering a deeper understanding of their individual identities.

According to Ridhi Jain, “Understanding one’s unique traits and effectively translating them into a visual narrative is pivotal in today’s competitive landscape.”

Day two emphasised the power of visual media in personal branding. Around 30 members engaged in a practical application of what they learned on May 9th. They created videos of their personal brands in a green matte studio setup with the assistance of a videographer and a brand consultant, ensuring proper direction. This hands-on experience allowed participants to confidently present themselves in front of the camera, honing their skills in articulating personal narratives.

One notable presentation was made by the Secretary of YFLO, Madhulika Appasani. A certified life coach with five years of experience, Madhulika shared her journey of personal transformation, which naturally led her to assist others in their transformative journeys. This passion for helping others prompted her to pursue certification as a life coach, enabling her to continue guiding individuals in their personal development.

Another insightful presentation was delivered by the Vice Chairperson, Ms. Pallavi Jain, who discussed her journey with Pokarna Fabrics. She emphasised the importance of holding workshops on knowledge retention for employees, highlighting how continuous learning and development are crucial for professional growth.

“The practice session was enlightening, pushing us out of our comfort zones and enhancing our presentation abilities,” remarked one participant.

The workshop concluded with actionable insights on crafting resilient personal brands aligned with individual identities. Key takeaways included identifying distinct qualities, mapping professional journeys, and leveraging storytelling techniques for effective branding.

“No matter how much work we do on ourselves, we are still work in progress,” said Madhulika, making a poignant and important observation on learning and self-discovery.
