Under the visionary leadership of Chairperson Ms. Raghushree Poddar, FICCI FLO Jaipur Chapter launched an impactful financial literacy initiative aimed at empowering women at the grassroots level. This initiative is a part of our broader digital literacy program designed to equip women with essential financial knowledge and skills.
The event featured a comprehensive basic learning and awareness session led by Mr. Nitin Kumar, a renowned financial expert. The session was attended by 50 women from various backgrounds, all eager to enhance their financial literacy. The initiative covered several crucial topics, including:
1. Digital Banking: Introduction to digital banking platforms such as Paytm and managing digital accounts.
2. Securing Small Savings: Guidance on where and how to securely save small amounts of money.
3. Fraud Awareness: Educating women on staying safe from financial frauds, high-interest loan sharks, and scams like chit funds.
4. Government Financial Schemes: Information on government schemes for women’s empowerment, including Sukanya Samridhi Yojna and Pradhan Mantri Mudra Yojna for small businesses.
5. Planning for Children’s Education: Strategies and support systems available for planning and funding children’s education.
6. Livelihood Options: Exploring various sources of livelihood, such as bag stitching and other income-generating activities.
Mr. Kumar provided practical advice on savings, Fixed Deposits (FDs), Recurring Deposits (RDs), and safeguarding against online frauds. He also demonstrated how to link UPI apps with bank accounts and perform secure online transactions. Emphasis was placed on utilizing government scholarship schemes to empower children and generating livelihood options through entrepreneurial activities.

The session directly benefited 50 women who participated, providing them with invaluable financial knowledge and tools to improve their economic stability and independence.
Collaborations:
This initiative was conducted in collaboration with FICCI FLO New Members who volunteered as a part of New Membership Drive and local community organizations that helped in mobilizing the participants. The active involvement of the FLO members ensured a wide reach and effective implementation of the program.

Due to elections and achar Samhita, no government interfaces were involved.
