Swavlamban – Skilling of Women at Grassroots Level

FLO Indore launched a girls’ batch comprising 40 students for full-time software skilling and training as part of the Swavlamban initiative. This initiative aims to empower these girls and falls under the national initiatives of Rural Livelihood, Digital Literacy, Financial Literacy, Skilling, and Member Engagement.

To empower these girls, FLO Indore signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with InfoBeans Foundation, the philanthropic arm of InfoBeans. The MoU is a collaborative effort to skill the girl students for a rigorous one-year training in software development, with the aim to place them in jobs after completion of the training. The event was graced by Mr. Klaus Schultz, Vice President of DHL (Germany), and Mr. Aditya SG Vyas, CEO of IIT Drishti.

FLO Indore invited active participation from all FLO members to contribute in sourcing, funding, mentoring, training/skilling, and job placement for the students.

Key Highlights:

  • • Free of cost, one-year full-time rigorous software training
  • • For 40 girl students from grassroots level
  • • Aim to place them in jobs
  • • artnership and Collaboration with InfoBeans Foundation
  • • Sourcing, Funding, Mentoring, Training, and Placement through FLO members

By facilitating full-time training and eventual job placement, FLO Indore aims to positively impact the lives of these girls and their families. They plan to map the progress of these students to track the success of the initiative.

As part of the initiative, there was a visit to InfoBeans Foundation to understand the programs run by them and to strengthen the partnership.

The initiative benefits 40 girl students and their families, providing them with opportunities for economic empowerment and upward mobility.

This initiative marks a significant step towards empowering women at the grassroots level and fostering economic independence. FLO Indore is committed to supporting these girls throughout their journey and looks forward to their success.
