An illustrious couple whose lives have been woven into the rich tapestry of Indian art and culture. Muzaffar Ali, a distinguished filmmaker, poet, and fashion designer, has left an indelible mark on the creative landscape with his cinematic masterpieces such as ‘Umrao Jaan’. Together, they form a harmonious partnership that transcends boundaries, seamlessly blending the realms of cinema, poetry, and the performing arts.

Awadh was a refined culture. The art telling stories had reached its zenith through an evolved metaphor of poetry, music and the Kathak form of dance. ‘Huma’ is one such story enacted as a ballet based on these sophisticated art forms that make it stand apart from any other region of India.

Historic Venue
British Residency, Women’s College, Hyderabad

The British Residency was built in 1806 by J A Kirk Patrick in Hyderabad. It served as the seat of the East India Company Resident in the Nizam’s Court. The place symbolized the power of the British authority in Hyderabad. Today, this 200-year-old building houses a women’s college. FLO and YFLO chapters are proud to support the reviving of this heritage site to preserves historical significance, promotes education, and enhances community pride by restoring a tangible connection to the past.
