Skilling Workshop for Rural Women

On 24th May 2023, FICCI Flo Vadodara organized a skilling workshop to empower rural women from
Panelav and nearby villages, more than 50 women participated. The workshop focused on imparting
valuable stitching skills to enable these women to become self-reliant and independent. The workshop
sought to foster women’s empowerment, encourage entrepreneurship, and promote inclusive
community development.

Under the guidance of experienced trainers and skilled artisans, the month long skilling workshop
offered a comprehensive curriculum focused on stitching techniques. The participants received hands-
on training, learning various stitching patterns, garment construction, and fabric handling.

In conclusion, the skilling workshop catalyzed change, enabling rural women to stand independently and
contribute meaningfully to their families and communities.
