FLO Bangalore Financial Literacy Summary

FICCI FLOBangalore Chairperson, Jayshree Menon chose financial literacy as the main theme for the year 2022-23. The Finance vertical held a series of yearlong educational sessions and each one of these was followed by a renowned speaker from the respective field. While the educational series was conducted by our chapter membersfrom Pay It Forward, the speaker series had some stalwarts from the industry like Saurabh Mukherjee, Swarup Mohanty, Lakshmi Iyer, Apurva Purohit amongst others. The vertical had also done the financial literacy sessions in 3 NGOs.

The educational series was very well received by the members as a topic like finance was simplified and even gamified. Besides receiving a lot of kudos from the members, we also saw many women either starting their financial journey, making amends to their portfolio or even just enjoying the learning process as it was jargon free, informative and interactive.
