Trade-o-Nomics

It was a fabulous learning event by the Trade Team of FLO Bangalore.

This year, National President Jayanti Dalmia has the vision of Transforming Women’s Participation in India’s Growth Trajectory as the theme. The trade cell created this year is an integral part of that vision. Under the tutelage of Dharitri Patnaik who heads the cell nationally, FLO Bangalore’s trade cell had curated this afternoon with industry experts who understand the pulse of trade in India and for entrepreneurs who see trade as an integral part of their growth story.

A vibrant mix of FLO entrepreneurs across business domains and at various sizes of business – from ideators, to startups to established businesses was a part of the audience.

The session began with Gita Ramanan, a Bangalore entrepreneur who has scaled great heights as co-founder and CEO of the over 100-million-dollar value Design Cafe sharing her entrepreneurial journey with emphasis on the role trade has played in the same.

This was followed by an interactive panel discussion by Mr Devranjan Iyer, executive director at Lifestyle, Mr Siddhart Bhagat, Category leader at Amazon and Mr Jagan Praveen Senior business development manager at Shopify. With the industry leaders in their respective trade markets the panel unravelled trends, the future of trade and most importantly how each of us can be trade heroes in our respective sectors!
