A learning workshop on Inclusive Action was organised for the Governing Body Members of FLO, on the sidelines of the 2nd Governing Body Meeting at Indore.
The objective of this session was to open the minds and hearts of the cohort to adopt an inclusive mindset that goes beyond building awareness, leading to inclusive action- one that acknowledges and appreciates the value that people of diversity can bring to businesses and society.
It was conducted by Conscious Development. Satyashiv D’mello, Lead (DEI&W) Diversity, Equity, Inclusion & Wellbeing and Social Sustainability was the facilitator.
The session helped in understanding:
Diversity and its benefit to society and businesses.
Diversity and how it manifests: gender, disability and neurodiversity, LGBTQ+, socioeconomic differences, culture, and age.
The role individuals and systems play in the oppression and empowerment of people of diversity.
FLO’s way forward-as leaders of chapters and as a whole.
The 2nd GB Meeting also was highly productive and engaging, in the backdrop of Indore, the heart of India and the largest city of Madhya Pradesh, which gleams with grandeur, history, growth, and modernity.
Alongside, FLO Indore Chapter curated Malwa FLO Bazaar, showcasing vibrant culture, tradition, textile, jewellery & food highlighting the State of Madhya Pradesh.
It was followed by an offside to the historical and holy city of Ujjain on August 26th, 2022.
