Launch of FLO Education Initiative Interaction with Mr Salman (Sal) Khan, Founder of Khan Academy on “The Future of Education”

FLO Education Initiative aims to bring together all stakeholders from this sector and work towards a more empowered and strengthened community of educators.

This will in turn enable a resilient and more productive education scenario, thereby benefitting children, youth, women, society and the nation at large.

An array of learning Events with national and international thought leaders are in pipeline. A consolidated database of educators, within the FLO fraternity is also being proposed.
Governing Body Members, Pooja Chauhan & Nupur Goenka are leading the national FLO Education Initiative, under the leadership of FLO President, Ujjwala Singhania.

This Initiative was launched on July 14, 2021. Alongside, an interaction with Mr Salman (Sal) Khan, Founder of Khan Academy was also organised.

Recognized as one of TIME’s 100 Most Influential People in the World, Salman (Sal) Khan joined from Palo Alto, USA, in an exclusive conversation to mark the Launch of FLO’s Education Committee.

Like many great innovations, it all began with a simple question, in this case from Khan’s nine-year-old cousin, Nadia: “Sal,” she asked, “can you please help me with my homework?” In 2004, Sal Khan, a hedge fund analyst, began making math tutorials for his cousins.

Mr Khan shared his journey how twelve years later, Khan Academy has more than 42 million registered users from 190 countries, with tutorials on subjects from basic math through economics, art history, computer science, health, medicine and more.
