Opening the doors for endless bountiful energy, talent and Jazz, Ficci Flo Hyderabad organised a talk and live music session ‘One Two Cha Cha Cha’ with Iconic Usha Uthup, moderated by Pranati Khanna.

The Chairperson Uma Chigurupati opened the session with her encouraging words about the Organisation’s commitment towards expanding knowledge Avenues. She talked about the Distance Education program conducted by FLO Hyderabad, under Learning League, for more than 200 girl students from rural areas. She declared the upcoming month as the Empowerment month. Uma Chigurupati unveiled the first bi-monthly newsletter ‘Lettuce Bytes’

The musical evening started with Pranati Khanna leading an engrossing and engaging conversation with the legendary Usha Uthup who spoke about her inspirational journey of life, her happy childhood days, how her music path chose her and her struggle with the conventional thinking minds. She lives as she believes, presenting even the most contemporary songs dressed in traditional attire projecting the fact that lndia is a true melting pot of world cultures with its own distinctive cultural identity. She has broken all stereotypes and ventured beyond times.

The unique brand of Indian pop music radiates in her ‘natural me’ USP since last 51 years in the music industry. Her advice to the FLO ladies “Don’t dwell in the past. Live in the present”. The pride of the nation believes not in singing, but in communicating through the art.

Her incongruous way of singing pop, her positive outlook in life, unique voice, bubbling with high energy brought mesmerising joy to the hearts of the members. Her euphoric live performance had more than 165 FLO members grooving to her all-time hits like darling, which won her the Filmfare best playback singer award, Skyfall, Ramba Ho, Heal the World and the headliner One Two Cha Cha Cha among others. Still humming the tunes of this Pretty Woman, the members were left in absolute awe and admiration.
