Arthashastra the ‘science of wealth’ written by the brilliant strategist, Chanakya, surely would provide learning for many of us especially those in the leadership positions. This event fell into the inspire and ignite space of our theme this year.

Ashwin, as we got to know him through his presentation, is a very creative, intelligent and humble author. He presented 16 facets of Arsthashastra like the 16 ‘mahurats’ in the ancient clock (instead of the 24-hour clock of today). He discussed varied aspects: like the economy, corruption, taxation, alliances and strategies, competition, failure, market sentiments, time management, perception, ego, and philanthropy. He made brilliant connections between excerpts from the Arthashastra to principles followed by the stalwarts in business and politics today.
