Adventures of Fashion with Manish Malhotra

In keeping with the theme this year, this event falls in the Inspire space. The objective of this event was to inspire our members through the journey of an established and dynamic designer/entrepreneur who moved from model to sketcher, costume stylist to the designer, from entrepreneur to a teacher and mentor. A large section of our membership has designers and entrepreneurs in the women’s wear and associated event segments.

This was a conversation with Shveta Jaishankar (an author, sports company entrepreneur and supermodel) who quizzed the designer on various aspects of responsible fashion today as an opportunity of creation for the artisan, mindfulness of the environment, ethical practices and nurturing Gen X towards a positive, wholistic, empowering self-image and body confidence. It was also meant to create awareness on Mr. Malhotra’s work with Mizwaan foundation and Kashmir artisans and craftsmen through the videos we played at the event. This was the first time we saw a 300-member attendance.
