My Journey beyond Business with Mr G V Sanjay Reddy

Ms Neeta Boochra, President FLO 2014-15 had her first programme – an Interactive Session with Mr. Sanjay Reddy, Vice Chairperson, GVK on 19 April 2014 at FICCI . The title of the session was ‘My Journey beyond Business’.

Ms Neeta Boochra highlighted that the Interactive Session was organised with a view to inspire women entrepreneur/business leaders to develop a vision to go beyond the calls of business and achieve greater goals alongside. “Mr Reddy is inspirational both as a business leader and social entrepreneur” she said.

In his Keynote Address, Mr Reddy highlighted “It is said money and power are two most important things and both of those in India are controlled by women. Be it the banking sector or running the affairs of political parties in the country women are at the helm of affairs. We are fortunate that Indian women are not only efficient leaders but also are the best ambassadors of Indian culture and history so I believe we are in good hands”

During his hour long interaction with the FLO members Mr Reddy presented the various verticals of GVK industry. He said that the job of leadership is not just to make money, but to make meaning. “At GVK we do not believe in just numbers and figures but to have an overall sustainable development of the society. GVK Emergency management and Research Institute (EMRI) is one such social initiative and is closest to my heart. Through this not-for-profit arm of GVK we are providing free emergency response services to the poor of 16 states of the country. In fact, in all my initiatives I try to go beyond the call of business and try to create a positive impact,” said Mr Reddy.

Ms ArchanaGarodia Gupta, Sr. Vice President, FLO in her Vote of Thanks said ‘The take away from today’s meetings is to create an impact in whatever we do. The core objective of any project should not be just about making money or developing further business but to fulfil our commitment to the society and the nation”

The inaugural programme of FLO President, Ms Neeta Boochra was very well attended and very well received.
