Art Event with Mr. Manu Parekh- National Gallery of Modern Art

FLO Mumbai had the rare privilege of viewing 60 years of paintings of veteran artist, Padmashree Manu Parekh at NGMA, Mumbai today.

About 150 of his paintings and sculptures as well as four sketchbooks containing numerous drawings are on display. Members got unique insights into his work which included his signature work of Benaras series, the Heads inspired by The Last Supper painting of Vinci, rituals and abstract, the Bhagalpur series and still life depicted through flowers and other motifs. The interaction with him was fascinating in which he shared several interesting anecdotes from his life. This event was the first of the 3 events of FLO Art Festival.

It was very enriching and concluded successfully.
