Interactive Session with Rajan Bharti Mittal, Vice Chairman, Bharti Enterprises on Entrepreneurship Development and Professional Excellence

FLO organised a very interesting session with Rajan Bharti Mittal is the Vice Chairman of Bharti Enterprises – one of India’s leading business groups with interests in retail, telecom, financial services, manufacturing, realty and agri-business.

Mr Mittal spoke on ‘Entrepreneurship Development and Professional Excellence’, while weaving Bharti story and his personal experiences to the discussion.

The topic is very crucial for economic and social development of any country, especially in India, which is one of the fastest-growing countries in the recent times. This is also the core objectives of FLO. FLO has been successfully organizing various programmes in Delhi and across the 10 chapters with the objective of creating a collective platform for women entrepreneurs to be empowered at various levels.

FLO President, Neeta Boochra in her welcome address emphasized on the crucial aspects of entrepreneurial abilities of women, which needs to be boosted to achieve the goal of inclusive growth. She said, “Entrepreneurship development & professional excellence amongst women is the need of the hour for the sustainable development of the nation.”

In a conversational style of interaction, Mr Mittal very candidly answered to the questions posed by Sonia Gupta, FLO Member & Director of Plaza Cables, who also hosted the event.

Sonia Gupta, with her lucid style and articulate mode, not only informed but also involved the audience in the journey of Mr. Mittal. Her ability to communicate easily with the guest was the highlight of the day.

Talking about the origin of his middle name “Bharti”, he mentioned that this was his father’s true Indian spirit which made him add Bharti to his name, which is not related to any caste or creed but means ‘Indian’ in a truest of its term.

Rajan Bharti Mittal, who serves as a member of several industry associations and policymaking bodies, said that it is important for entrepreneurs to think out of the box and be resourceful. He also emphasised on the need to innovate and create opportunities in their respective entrepreneurial arena.

While talking about the trailblazing path of his entrepreneurial achievements Mr Mittal said, “One has to move away from individual aspirations and interest and work towards the larger interest of the nation. Nation is not built by a few chosen people; we all need to contribute in the process. India succeeds, we all will win.”

It was highly interesting as also inspiring to hear the stalwart, as he shared his journey of achievements and challenges, as one of the most dynamic Business Leaders of the country.
