Synopsis of the event : Guest Speakers Shayamal Vallabhjee, Nimrat Kaur & Neerja Birla.

Shayamal Vallabhijee : Champions & Defining Moments

He said the first and foremost quality of a champion is humility . Only a humble person can listen to someone and improve and become the best. Focus is defined by what you are looking at and perspective is from where /how you are looking at .There aren’t enough women in every field of sports which is a pity . More women should come forward in it. In sports the penalty for failures is too high.

He told a butterfly story since stories resonate best with us. Once a man walked in a garden and saw a butterfly struggling to come out of the cocoon … he was sad to see it like that. He went and came back again after 3 -4 hours and again saw the struggling butterfly … this repeated 2/3 times more and in the end he helped it come out of it .

he said once you find out the frequency you want to radiate ; tune in everyone who you want to radiate to.

This story teaches that a good leader identifies struggles through the journey. How to choose a right master –

1. Competence – the skill to teach the person;
2. Comfort in the relationship
3. Confidence in you
4. Character.

I am trying to force sports and spiritualism to come together.

If u can’t control what you can see then how can u control what u can’t see – this was in the context of mind and how it works.

The one thing that’s common in winners is that they are true to themselves .

Neerja Birla –On Millennium Women

it is extremely inspiring to be here today. The number of lives you have touched is commendable “. Who is the millennium woman and what does she stand for ?
For times immemorial , the females have always been made to feel under confident , that they just belong to kitchen. And even they have been silently bearing as they think that they are destined to do so . They still have to deal with unequal pay ; exploitation ; harassment . But minds are changing now … some places rapidly .
They are becoming what they wanted to be ; go getters ; chasing their dreams ; confident in their own skins ; believer; equalists .

Nimrat Kaur: We are all Achivers

She began by saying that she is addressing a forum for the first time . She talked about achievers in her life whom she has grown with. .
Nimrat lost her father as a very early age . But she was always encouraged by her father to reach the best . She once dared to dream of the only seat that was left in a school in patiala and she could take it .
Then she talked about her grandmother who was married at the age of 14 and lived upto the age of 78 .. had a wicked sense of humor . Was a remarkable lady and lived her best .
She had sheer zest for life . She always wanted to look the best . She was a super achiever for me . She used to ask which make up brand Nimrat used and to cross check she used to even check her bags .
Then her mother was another big achiever for her who took so much care of her 2 daughters and sent one of her daughters to the big bad world of Bollywood..
Another example of an achiever was her daily help who used to work for her since past 10 years who had lost her daughter. How she came out of her black hole and started working again .
